- Scalable, secure, and reliable in a distributed cloud architecture. Sitemasher gives you peace of mind with our cloud architecture which provides the maximum uptime and reliability for your site. We deliver our solution over the Internet using a tier-one, first-class hosting center with a totally secure, scalable application and system architecture.
- Scalability. If traffic to your site gets heavy, our hosting platform will automatically distribute the load across multiple servers within the managed cloud. Individual web servers can be added as system capacity increases and individual site requests are automatically funneled to specific web servers via server load balancing.
- Security. Sitemasher manages, monitors, and maintains security on the web servers. Patches, updates, and antivirus are all taken care of to protect against trojans, viruses, worms, spam, spyware, and other malware. Sitemasher is built to prevent SQL injections, cross-site scripting, malformed URLs, denial-of-service attacks, and so on.
- Redundancy and availability. All of the components within each of our data centers are redundant – computers, databases, servers, and routers – so there's no single point of failure. Equipment is powered by UPS with backup generators. In addition, all websites are automatically replicated to all servers within each data center.
- Distributed data center. Sitemasher’s data centers are geographically distributed and linked via Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), meaning uptime isn’t limited to the actual conditions in a single location. This ensures site availability without concern for local conditions within a particular data center.
- Distributed database servers. Sitemasher's database servers are replicated, both locally within the data center and remotely across data centers to ensure site data is widely available without interruption.
- Automatic backup, patching, and performance monitoring. Sitemasher manages server backups, patches and performance.
