2009 Website Design Contest

General Rules

• Applicants are restricted to entering either the student category or the professional category and not both.
  
  
• All designs must be an original work (created solely by the designer) and contestants grant Sitemasher the right protile the site on our portfolio page and possibly use as a template.
  
  
• All finalists for the student contest must submit a copy of a current valid student ID when requested. If a finalist cannot submit a copy of a current valid student ID they will be disqualified from that category.
  
  
• Sitemasher has full rights to use your name on its website, press releases, blog, and any other advertising and collateral.
  
  
• The contest is open to legal residents of Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
  
  
• Employees of Sitemasher and residents of Quebec are not eligible.
  
  
• Contestants must be at least eighteen (18) years old to participate
  
  
• Cash awards are in US currency.
  
  
• If Sitemasher is unable to contact the winner, or if the winner fails to claim or accept the prize within fourteen (14) calendar days of notification, the prize will be automatically forfeited.
  
  
• Entrants can submit multiple entries per user account. Sitemasher allows you to build multiple sites under one account!
  
  
• No purchase is required to enter.
  
  
• The size of the website cannot exceed 100 MB. This is the storage limit that we are providing for sites in this contest. Anything over 100MB will require account to enter a Subscription Agreement as Usage Fees will apply.
  
  
• Publication of a site prior to contest winners being announced will be required to enter into a paying subscription service. If contestant is selected as a winner, the free service would commence on the next billing period.
  
  
• Terms of free Basic subscription prize: Terms of free Sitemasher Basic subscription: Prize is restricted to the sites that place top 10 in each contest category. Usage-Based Fees (traffic and storage overages) or Special and Other Service Fees as outlined in Subscription Services Addendum are not included as part of the free Basic subscription. Free Sitemasher Basic subscription is limited to Service-Based Fees only.
  
  
• Participants need to agree to be bound to the rules and regulations of this contest and any other agreements requiring acceptance before access to Sitemasher is granted.
  
  
• All submissions must be received by August 1, 2009.
  
  
• Winners will be announced September 1, 2009.
